British shops have regular sales and many clothes here can be bought at a much cheaper price than overseas. Shops in the UK do not close for lunch. Shops in Hastings are generally open from 9:00/10:00am to 5:30pm. BANKS ATM machines accept any card with the VISA, MAESTRO or CIRRUS logo. ATM machines are outside every bank, many supermarkets and inside some corner shops (beware the machines in corner shops charge a transaction fee!!) Banks are open 9:00am – 4:30pm. TRAVEL INFORMATION Weekly bus passes can be purchased for approximately £10 per week. These are called ‘Mega Rider’ tickets and are bought on the bus from the bus driver. |
