Exam Preparation Courses - IELTS,TOEFL & TOEIC

IELTS Preparation

IELTS Preparation can be combined with a General English as a midday or afternoon option, or taken as a designated specialist course of 15 lessons per week plus self-study online.

This course is for students who want to study at university in the UK. Universities require an IELTS score of 5.5 or above as proof of academic competence in English.

Students who are Pre-Intermediate are advised to study General English only until their grammar and language skills are high enough to focus on IELTS Preparation as the course is very demanding. Students on the course:

• concentrate on improving Advanced level English grammar and skills
• receive expert advice on exam techniques
• take regular practice tests
• receive advice on registering for the test
• receive information on IELTS test centres in the UK (and other countries if applicable)

Our IELTS teachers are qualified and experienced in teaching academic English classes.

IELTS classes help you to:

• improve your English language skills
• attain an IELTS score for an English speaking university
• aster examination techniques and take regular practice tests
• get regular exam practice

The course includes an online learning programme which is valid for a year and records the student’s progress over the course based on online exercises and tests.

TOEFL iBT Preparation

This course is for students who want to study at university in the USA or at a Business School in the UK. Universities require TOEFL score of as proof of academic competence in English.

The course follows a similar syllabus to the IELTS course but is orientated towards American English. Students on the course:

• concentrate on improving Advanced level English grammar and skills
• receive expert advice on exam techniques
• take regular practice tests
• receive advice on registering for the test
• receive information regarding  online TOEFL exam dates

TOEIC Preparation

Many international companies require job candidates to have a TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) score to prove their level of English.

Most organisations require a TOEIC score of 600.

The TOEIC exam preparation course:

• Focuses on exam techniques to help you achieve the score you need
• Offers regular practice tests to prepare you for the actual exam
• Improves your self-study skills, using specially selected tasks from a specialised online learning programme.

For students of a slightly lower level, we offer preparation for the TOEIC Bridge Test. Students can take this 4 week course and then progress to the TOEIC Preparation Course
