English + Work Placement - UK Schools

The work experience programme is an add-on option for students who want to experience working in a British business environment. Improved English skills and exposure to other business cultures can help students further advance their career back at home.

Students begin the programme with a n English course and are then matched with a suitable company according to their skills and experience, English level and requested industry or field..

A Work Experience Application must be made at least 4 weeks before the start date of the student’s English Course

All students should ideally have some relevant work experience or educational qualification for the field they choose. Inexperienced candidates can select general areas where no specific skills may be required.

We recommend that students have a language level of IELTS 5.5 or above, but some sectors may require a higher level.

Placement Location:

The placement is located in the city requested unless mutually agreed otherwise. A student must expect to travel to work as other city dwellers do, via public transport for distances up to 1 hour from their accommodation. Placements are mainly for students at London school but we may be able to arrange placements for students in Hastings.

Certification:

Both of our work experience partners are accredited by the University of Cambridge, Cambridge International Examinations. This allows all of our students to apply for a standard or advanced certificate of work experience when they have completed their placement.
